What is the turnaround time typically like?

Our turnaround times can vary from as little as 1 month to as much as 12 months. It really depends on the time of the year that you drop your trophy off and how busy we are at that time. Call today for a better turnaround time quote for your trophy.

What are your current prices for the animals you work on?

Our current prices and species we work on can be found on our website under pricing.

Do I need a down payment when I drop my trophy off?

Yes every project we do, we need at least 50% up front at the time of drop off and the rest when you pick your trophy up.

What to do with our fish that we want mounted?

Best thing to do is wrap a wet towel over it and place in a plastic bag and push the air out and freeze it immediately.

What to do with a bird we want mounted?

Immediately place into a bag and push the air out and be sure not to break any feathers in the process and freeze it.

What to do with a mammal we want a shoulder mount on?

If you have skinned it out or have just picked it up from the butcher put the skin and head into a bag and freeze it immediately.

What to do with a mammal we want a full mount on?

If its a small game animal place into a heavy bag and push the air out and freeze it immediately. If its a large game animal either skin it out or take it to the butcher as soon as you possibly can then bag and freeze immediately.

What do I do if I'm hunting in a remote location with no freezer?

For times where you are hunting with no available freezer, fully skin the animal, flesh, and salt the hide repeatedly over a couple days to help temporarily preserve the skin. This is the only method in remote locations that can preserve your hide for later mounting.

*We do not recommend freezing salted hides later on as the salt will not allow the animal to fully freeze.

General Rule!!!

If the animal for whatever reason has a smell and the meat is not for consumption it is a general rule that the animals skin isnt any good either because the animals skin will typically go bad before the meat does because it holds in heat longer than the meat and more acceptable to bacteria to start before the meat does. So trophy care begins with you in properly preserving it for the time being.
